UAVUS helps its members apply for FAA Section 333 exemptions, create VLOS Standard Operating Procedures, and find UAV insurance and legal services. UAVUS also offers consultation services to organizations adding aerial imaging assets.
UAVUS is a non-stock membership association with no stockholders, incorporated under the laws of the State of Georgia. Members are listened to intently, and drive many changes in UAVUS programs and policies, but do not have a “legal” say in running the organization. The Association does not publish an annual report. UAVUS does not have a party affiliation, but rather works with any politician, regardless of political party, who advocates for the commercial use of UAVs and common sense regulations.
