The ROCK Mission Computer product line offers rugged, modular, pre-qualified, COTS (Commercial Off-The-Shelf) Systems engineered to meet the most demanding performance requirements for optimal Size, Weight and Power consideration (SWaP). ROCK aims to simplify and shorten your application development cycle while reducing cost of ownership and minimizing risks. The family is designed for safety certification and can be optionally delivered with all certification documentation and artifacts.

Fully integrated
ROCK Mission Computers are based on fully integrated COTS modules engineered to work seamlessly together. CES has already completed the integration and tests of the hardware together with board support package, boot loader, built-in-tests, device drivers and operating system. The Operating Systems on offer range from Linux® to ARINC 653 RTOS such as VxWorks®653, Integrity® or LynxOS®. Collectively this provides you with a platform ready to execute your application.
Pre-qualified
Our rugged ROCK Mission Computers are designed and tested to a number of military and commercial qualification standards such as DO-160, MIL-STD-810, MIL-STD-461, MIL-STD-464, MIL-STD-704, MIL-STD-1275, etc. These qualification tests ensure a safe and uninterrupted operation in the most stringent environmental, electromagnetic and electrical conditions.
Modular
Benefiting from a modular design, core functionalities of a Mission Computer are judiciously distributed over several building blocks that easily assemble. Pre-configured ROCK Mission Computers can address your specific needs with a combination of communication channels, data acquisition lines, graphics generation modules and video processing interfaces.
Leveraging your initial investments, you benefit from the upgradability of a modular System designed with scalable computing power, future technology insertion capability and maximum upwards compatibility.
Safety Certifiable
With 10+ years of experience designing Design Assurance Level (DAL) certifiable products, “Design for Safety” is one of CES core competences. ROCK Mission Computers are engineered with DAL safety certification in mind, systematically applying DO-178C/DO-254 design rules, documentation and independent verification and validation. Optionally, we can deliver them with all the certification artifacts required for an RTCA DO-178C/DO-254 certification up to level A.
